Thank you! Thank you for your posts, your prayers, your notes, words of encouragement, gifts, and love during this trying time for me and my family. It has been just a bit over 4 weeks since my accident. The time has truly flown by - perhaps because there are more than a few days I simply can't remember.
We have so much to be thankful for as God has been faithful to carry us, protect us, and heal me. Yes, there are days where the progress seems difficult to see - but I know God is healing me.
I have been anxious to give you an update, but I must keep it brief since I am typing with one hand. Here goes - top down
My Jaw has been freed! Tuesday the docs cut the bands and are giving me a week to eat stuff a liitle closer to food - I am still not allowed to chew untill next appt.
Ribs: are healing slowly - still no real funny jokes
Arm: all stitches are finally out! There is still no feeling in my hand and very little movement, but, due to my great therapist, I really am improving. I trust every stretch, every splint, and the torturous excercises are helping bring back use.
Leg: My knee has been diagnosed with a minor fracture and not so minor ligament tear. We will find out more next week.
Meanwhile- I limp around with a cage-like device, good for scaring the kiddies!
Please continue to pray for me and my family. We will give up-dates soon.
p.s. Mary Karen is doing great, not quite as fearful about car rides, and she has shown such maturity in the past weeks-we are proud of her.

Hey Jon -
I have to say it's a huge blessing to know that you're still you. It's great to hear from you in person and to see that your sense of humor and humble gratitude are going strong. You and the family will remain close to our hearts and in our prayers as always as you continue recovering. We love you guys!

We still serve an AWESOME God who is in the business of restoration. Wanda and I still pray for you often.
Now, you be sweet!

Hi Jon,
I agree with Sara! It's so good to hear from YOU! Thank you for the update. It actually brought tears to my eyes. (I think it was relief to know that you are doing well enough to worry about blogging!) So many of my friends and family have been asking about you. I pray for a speedy and thorough recovery for you. God bless you and your family.
Luv you guys!

Jon, we are so glad you are doing better. Our prayers are with you and your family....and I know that God will bring you through this stronger in Him and more faithful. Tell Traci I am praying for her and her spiritual, emotional and physical well-being also...I know how these things can affect a wife and mother also. You guys are awesome and God loves you very much!
Great to read about the AWESOME things God has done & continues to do for the Fredricks family.
Our God truly is a BIG GOD!
Jon
It was a real joy to read your update. As a physio I know that there is a long road ahead but I know that God is there every step of the way with every single one of you. You and your family are such wonderful examples of "God in us". You truly are living testimonies to His faithfulness and we honour you all for that.
We continue to pray for you, Traci and your amazing 4 children
love

Uncle Jon!
